z Both cells share the same TCELL, with neighboring frequency points (the difference between the
frequency points is not more than 5 MHz).
z Two carriers in a sector are recommended to share a transmitting channel, namely, to share a
RRU.
z When two RRUs support the DC-HSDPA feature, the cascade mode is recommended between
two RRUs.
RNC
z Modify the version of the NodeB/CN to R9/R8 (the DC-HSDPA feature is supported in R8 and
later versions, and the corresponding protocol version of RAN13 is R9. The R9 protocol
version is recommended for the NodeB, and the R8 protocol version is recommended for the
CN.
z Turn on the algorithm switch of the 64QAM feature to support the DC-HSDP feature (42 Mbit/s).
z A DC-HSDPA user travels from a non test zone to a three-carrier test zone. The three-carrier f1
test zone does not support the DC-HSDPA feature, and requires you to periodically make a
DRD to the f2 or f3 test zone to serve as the DC. Therefore, you must enable the function.

z Turn on the functional switches for the 64QAM feature, the downlink L2 enhanced feature, and
the DC-HSDPA feature.
z Set the TCELL in a DC cell group, and requires that the values of the TCELL must be the same
(cell deactivation is required to modify the value of TCELL).
z The following parameters need to be queried first. For the recommended baseline parameters, you do not
need to modify them.
z The following parameters are optional and related to networking policies. A negotiation with the network
planning department is required.
z Baseline parameters are recommended for QoS guarantee configuration of the DC. Detailed
values are based on the requirements of carriers.
To enable the mapping between the ARP and SPI, run the following commands to configure
the user level of each ARP.
Set the mapping from user service types and levels to the SPI as follows:
Run the ADD UOPERUSERGBR command to configure the GBR of BE services. Example:

Configure the measuring period of the HSPA GBP and HSPA PBR as 1s.
Run the following command to enable the HSPA+ or HSPA admission control switch:
z DC DRD configuration
Turn on the DRD control switch and the blind handover switch of an intra-frequency co-
coverage cell of HSPA+.
Turn on the algorithm switch for load reconstruction, code resource reconstruction, and CE
resource reconstruction. Configure as follows:

Turn on the downlink load balance switch of the DC-HSDPA feature as follows:
NodeB
z Configure DC-HSDPA
z Configure a cell group for the DC-HSDPA feature, namely, configure a local Cell 1 and a local
Cell 2 as such a cell group (cell deactivation is required for adding a cell group for the DC-
HSDPA feature).
Turn on the switch for traffic-based auxiliary carrier activation and deactivation in the DC-
HSDPA feature (not required if this function is not enabled).
The following parameters need to be queried first. For the recommended baseline parameters, you do not need
to modify them.

Default parameters are recommended for flow control. The flow control policy is automatically
selected between DYNAMIC_BW_SHAPING and NO_BW_SHAPING parameters using
the congestion detection mechanism of the NodeB.
Default parameters are recommended for HS-SCCH power control configuration. Adjust HS-
SCCH power control configuration according to CQI, with the frame error rate of 1%.
