8.5.3 Radio Layer Configuration

z The two cells that form a DC cell group must meet the following requirements:Both cells belong
to the same carrier, and are located in the same frequency and the same sector. Both cells
belong to the same downlink resource group.

z Both cells share the same TCELL, with neighboring frequency points (the difference between the
frequency points is not more than 5 MHz).

z Two carriers in a sector are recommended to share a transmitting channel, namely, to share a
RRU.

z When two RRUs support the DC-HSDPA feature, the cascade mode is recommended between
two RRUs.

RNC
z Modify the version of the NodeB/CN to R9/R8 (the DC-HSDPA feature is supported in R8 and
later versions, and the corresponding protocol version of RAN13 is R9. The R9 protocol
version is recommended for the NodeB, and the R8 protocol version is recommended for the
CN.

MOD UNODEB: NodeBId=xxx, NodeBProtclVer=R9;

MOD UCNNODE: CnOpIndex=0, CNId=0, CNDomainId=PS_DOMAIN, CNProtclVer=R8;

z Turn on the algorithm switch of the DC HSDPA feature.

SET UCORRMALGOSWITCH: CfgSwitch=CFG_HSDPA_DC_SWITCH-1;

z Turn on the algorithm switch of the 64QAM feature to support the DC-HSDP feature (42 Mbit/s).

SET UCORRMALGOSWITCH: CfgSwitch=CFG_HSDPA_64QAM_SWITCH-1;

z Use the DC HSDPA technology as a priority.

SET UFRC: MIMO64QAMorDCHSDPASwitch=DC_HSDPA;

z A DC-HSDPA user travels from a non test zone to a three-carrier test zone. The three-carrier f1
test zone does not support the DC-HSDPA feature, and requires you to periodically make a
DRD to the f2 or f3 test zone to serve as the DC. Therefore, you must enable the function.

SET UFRC: RetryCapability=64QAM-1&DL_L2_ENHANCE-1&DC_HSDPA-1;

z Enable HSDPA on a flow service.

SET UCORRMALGOSWITCH: MapSwitch=MAP_PS_STREAM_ON_HSDPA_SWITCH-1;

z Set an HSDPA threshold.

SET UFRCCHLTYPEPARA: DlStrThsOnHsdpa=D64, DlBeTraffThsOnHsdpa=D64;

MOD UCELLSETUP: CellId=1, TCell=CHIP0;

z The following parameters need to be queried first. For the recommended baseline parameters, you do not
need to modify them.

z The following parameters are optional and related to networking policies. A negotiation with the network
planning department is required.

z Baseline parameters are recommended for QoS guarantee configuration of the DC. Detailed
values are based on the requirements of carriers.
