Re: McKenzie Jackson
To Whom It May Concern:
McKenzie Jackson was an elementary teaching intern in Granite School
District for the 2017-18 school year. | had the privilege of serving as McKenzie's
intern supervisor during that time. | was also her instructor for several
undergraduate courses during this period. This recommendation is based on my
extensive experience with Ms. Jackson.
McKenzie has developed her skills and is an excellent teacher. Ms.
Jackson is particularly strong in classroom management and runs an effective
learning environment. Many of her strategies have become so automatic that
she creates a very respectful and comfortable atmosphere. Coupled with these
organizational strategies is McKenzie's wonderful rapport with students. | have
observed how her fifth-grade students connect with her and follow her directions
easily. | also appreciated how appropriate McKenzie is in her approach to
teaching 10-11 year-olds. There is always an atmosphere of mutual respect,
McKenzie is a hard worker. Throughout our year of interaction, McKenzie
has never failed to complete requirements that | have given her. She is very
reflective and asks very solid questions to analyze every situation. McKenzie
Jackson is such a positive person and it is always uplifting to be in her presence.
Because of this, she is an excellent member of the team and works well with
other individuals to accomplish their goals. This year she has also exhibited
excellent skills for working with parents.
Ithas been a great pleasure to assist McKenzie Jackson in developing her
skills as an elementary teacher. | consider Ms. Jackson a solid teacher with
exceptional skills, many beyond the expected level of a first year teacher. | give
her my highest recommendation.
Sincerely,
