GENERAL PROCEDURES
Team = Group of players forming one side in a competitive game or sport.
Recreation = Competitive physical games that are played for fun.
The Team Rec course consist of many different class activities. We utilize many indoor facilities, including the gym, wrestling room,
weight room and the pool. We also take advantage of the outdoor fields and the track when the weather is good. Classes rotate on a
regular basis to make use of all the facilities. This class was created in order to provide students with a chance to play competitive
sports in a fun class environment. Each week we will focus on: a new game, new teams, and have winners of our weekly tournaments.
INJURIES/ILLNESSES
Students who are injured during P. E. class must report the injury to the teacher immediately. Students who do not feel well or who
are excused by a doctor must dress for class. They may participate on a limited basis. Doctors should indicate what activities the
student is permitted to participate in. Any student who is excused from regular activity for three or more days will need a Doctors’
note. Any student who is excused for ALL ACTIVITY must arrange with the teacher to make up the missed activity. Short term,
parental excuses will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
ATHLETICS
Students who are involved in athletics are required to dress and participate in regularly scheduled PE activities. If PE activities are
extremely strenuous on an athlete’s game day, the activity may be modified by the PE teacher. Coaches will be notified of any athletes
