(Method to reflect the experience as a nurse in Indonesia to the amount of salary, etc.)
・How to reflect the experience as a nurse in Indonesia to the amount of salary
Based on the base pay for unqualified healthcare workers specified in our regulations, the base
pay for a nurse from Indonesia is calculated depending on his/her work experience, age and so
on.

・Training and support system

In order to pass the national examination for nursing license, nurses from Indonesia are
allowed to attend classes at our affiliated technical school. The school provides a special
curriculum focusing on the national examination from December to March every year. During
that period, schoolwork is prioritized over nursing work.

Other Descriptions To study with students who share the same goal enables effective learning and will definitely
make a difference in the result of the examination.
The hospital pays 50% of school fees. But if a nurse from Indonesia needs to pay 10,000 yen or
more per month depending on how many classes are taken, any excess will be paid by the
hospital.
Basic needs including textbooks for the national examination are prepared and supplied by the
hospital.
Since a number of our nurses have experience studying in Australia, daily questions can be
asked in English. In order to meet the regional demand, we have 2 staff who serve as English
and Portuguese interpreters. Thus our support system can deal with various situations.

Minokamo City is very cosmopolitan, and more than 10% of its population is foreigners.
The local government aims to build a multicultural city where foreigners and local Japanese can coexist as members of
society, accepting the differences in languages, cultures, and customs. As the only general hospital in the city, our
hospital is contributing to that effort in the medical field, as can be seen from our 2 stuff who serve as English and
Portuguese interpreters. Therefore, it is significant to train foreign nurses in this region.

Our fundamental philosophy is as follows: "Provide medical treatment from the perspective of patients and provide
new medical services expected by the local community."
Apr. 2001 The city's first PET (Positron Emission Tomography) equipment was introduced into the hospital.
Dec. 2005 The Japan's second Tomo Therapy equipment was introduced into the hospital.
Apr. 2008 The world's first 320-slice CT for clinical use (Area Detector CT-Aquilion ONE) was introduced into the
hospital.
May 2008 The second Tomo Therapy equipment was introduced into the hospital for the first time in the world.
Comments
We are proud that our hospital is contributing to the medical development in Japan as well as in this region.

Our support system for the national examination is well-organized by collaborating with the affiliated technical school.
Needless to say, it is important for healthcare workers to pass the national examination, and it is also quite important
for them to have access to a desirable environment to learn Japanese language. Not only staff who can serve as
interpreters but also a number of nurses who have experience studying at Charles Sturt University in Australia are
working for our hospital. Accordingly, we believe that we can deal flexibly with any matters related to Japanese
language learning and communication.
We promise to prepare the ideal environment for living in the community, studying for the national examination, and
learning Japanese language. Thus, in order to train nurses who hope to contribute to this region, our hospital will give
them all-out support.
