Cultural Show:

For Vocal Solo, Duet and Cultural mixed, these events will no longer be a contest instead
purely performances during the Cultural Night to showcase their bests. OPM Songs are to be
played.
- Elementary pupils: Vocal Solo (Boy and/or Girl)
- High School Students: Duet (Male and Female)
- College Performers: 10-15 students
In the Cultural Night, each association shall have 10 to a maximum of 15 cultural
performers, who will allot with 7-10 minutes of performance. It could be all male/female or
mixed male and female performers. Filipino/Bicol Culture should be highlighted. In the vocal
solo and duets the singers may opt to sing the song of their choice, but Filipino songs are more
preferred.

Schedule

The BACS Meet is a 3-day event that will showcase sports and cultural events of BACS
member schools.
This year’s BACS Meet is scheduled on November 25-27, 2016 in Naga City, with
CEACAL as the host association. However, the participating teams composed of the six
associations may already come to Naga City in the afternoon of November 24, 2016.
Prior to the BACS Meet 2016, each association is expected to conduct their own
elimination games to determine their representatives/players in each event.

Registration / Foods

Registration fee – Php 250.00 per participant


Food budget – PHP 750.00
(Php 250/day x 3)

The food budget per participant, which includes the coaches & coordinators,
is PHP 250.00/day
Ø For three (3) days = > PHP 250.00 x 3 = PHP 750.00
Ø If there are players/delegates who will opt NOT to take meals in the respective venues,
they may not be required to pay the whole food budget.
Ø Meal tickets will be provided for the distribution of the meals.
Ø The number of food allocation will only be according to the number of meal tickets given
upon registration.
Ø The participant who opts to eat in the venue will have to pay the day’s food budget even if
he/she eats only one meal for that day.

TOTAL PER PARTICIPANT – Php 1,000.00

Transportation

Each association shall be responsible to shoulder the transportation expenses of their


delegates. The association that shall have four (4) or more hours of travel time shall receive a
one-way transportation subsidy from BACS general fund. Example: MACEA or CEAV gets
subsidy if venue is in Naga or Daet. CEAD gets subsidy if venue is in Legazpi or Sorsogon.

Accommodation

All delegates and participants shall be housed by member schools of the host association.
The participants/delegates are to bring sleeping mats and beddings.The host school/s shall
provide venue for sleeping and security to the delegates.

TOURNAMENT GENERAL GUIDELINES

1) Number of Teams
a. There will six diocesan teams namely: CEACAL, CEAD, CEAL, CEAS, CEAV
& MACEA
b. The host team will field players in all sports events.
c. As much as possible the host team will NOT field two teams in the same event,
except when there are only three (3) or five (5) teams in that event.

2) Number of Games
a. All teams are assured at least 2 games in every sports event.
b. We still follow the “maximum of one game per day” policy in Basketball and
Volleyball games.
c. Other events may have different schedules and may be played in the morning as
well as in the afternoon.

3) Mode of the Tournament


a. Games will be played more as friendly competitions, although there will be
championship games.
b. Only the champions will be awarded. All players will be recognized.
c. The tournament manager of the host association is in-charge and has the option to
determine the grouping, fixture of the game, and scheduling.
d. Player/s under the influence of smell liquor and/or prohibited drugs shall not be
allowed to play in the game and/or may even be barred to participate throughout
the Meet.
e. Unsportsmanlike conduct of a player or players, uttered foul languages to
opponent coaching staff, spectators, basketball officials (referees, table and
tournament officials), indecent gestures and displayed belligerent stance
indicative in a tussle during and after the game shall be thrown out from the game
and shall not be allowed to play and considered ejected from the team throughout
the tournament.

4. Requirements of the Players

• ELEMENTARY - 13 yrs and below(born 2003 up)

4) Entry of Players
a. Every team shall submit a printed list of players for the different events prior to
the date of the Meet on a prescribed form issued by the Tournament Manager
specifying the names of players, coaches and the events that they are going to
play.
b. Deadline of submission is October 28, 2016.
c. While a team may have more than the number of required players, which includes
the substitutes in its line-up, only the required number of players shall be allowed
to figure in the game.
d. The coach or his/her assistant shall indicate to the official scorer before the start
of the game a list of the players he/she intends to field-in for that particular game.
e. Only the players in the list for that particular game will be allowed to play.
f. A team found guilty of fielding an unregistered or ineligible player/s shall loss
the game by forfeiture including all previously won game/s where the player/s
figured, and put up the score of 0. (The burden of proof shall be borne by the
complainant.)

Tasks of the Host Diocesan Associations:

1) Assign the Head of the BACS Meet Committee


2) The BACS Meet Committee shall be in charge of:
a) Game Schedules
b) Tournament Managers of the Events
c) Venues of Games
d) Equipment Needed
e) Promotions and Marketing
f) Opening and Closing Programs
g) Plaques, certificates, trophies, medals, etc.
3) Provide sleeping quarters and security
4) Identify food caterers for the various delegations/venues

The Participating Associations shall:

1) Assign an overall events coordinator that will coordinate with the Head of the BACS
Meet Committee of the Host Association.
2) Conduct elimination games within their association if necessary to identify their players
for the different sports event.
3) Provide food and transportation budget.
4) If possible, provide the host association with the roster of players and coaches to facilitate
the registration prior to the schedule of BACS Meet.

Selection of Athletes

1) It is suggested that each Association should hold an elimination/selection process to


finalize their participants.
2) An Association may also choose a particular school to represent them in a particular
event.
3) For Basketball & Volleyball, an Association may send a selection of its best student-
athletes.

OTHER MATTERS

1) Transportation to game venues will be provided by the host association.


2) October 28,2016 is the deadline of submission of entries for the different sports events.
3) Checks will be payable to BACS account.
4) The uniform need not be that of the association as long as the colour follows that of the
respective diocese’s colour: CEACAL (golden yellow); CEAD (red), CEAL (blue); CEAS
(green); CEAV (gray) & MACEA (violet).
