What is literature for?
Literature is the best simulator of reality, a machine that takes you infinitely
more situations, lets you see safely and crucially. It lets us speed up time, in order
to see the arc of a life from childhood to old age. It offers us greater accessibility to
countless beautiful things.
Literature is a corrective to the superficiality and compromises of friendship.
Some of the benefits that literature offers us are:
1. It saves us time.
Of course, it seems that literature is a waste of time, but in the end it
is the opposite because it gives us access to a range of events and
emotions that we could not know without practicing literature.
In addition to this, we can say that thanks to literature we can know
the past of our ancestors, what they did, where they lived…
2. It makes you nicer.
literature has the magic of showing us how things are from the other's
point of view, it allows us to evaluate the consequences of our actions on
others in a way we otherwise would not.
3. It is a cure for loneliness.
Described with an honesty quite different from what ordinary
conversation allows for.
In the best books it is as if the writer knows us better that we know
ourselves.
Literature is right in what happens in our daily life, for example, the
nostalgia we experience in a place looking at the profile of that person we
never dare to speak.
Additionally, books are our true friends, they are always close, they
are not too busy and they show us how things really are. We would never
feel alone reading a book, they are a world full of ideas.
4. It prepares you for fair lure.
In the lives of all of us, one of the greatest fears is to err, to ruin
everything. Every day we learn more stories of failure to which we cling.
Books do not judge how people do it. We should consider literature in a
different way. Literature is not a distraction, less a waste of time, it is a therapy
in a broad sense, something to prewrite an answer to a problem.

Also, Literature deserves its prestige above all for one reason, it is above
others.
