Cold Plastic “Liquid” heavy duty road marking paint

Description & Uses

Cold-plastic “liquid” road marking paint for use in roads, highways, airfields, traffic aisles, city
crosswalks, special needs carriages, etc., for painting centerlines or edge lines. It is a product of
high endurance and high reflection designed for the most modern highways (autobahn, autostratas)
with duration up to 36 months. High retro-reflection is succeeded with the addition of glass beads
in 40% - 50% to the paint.
It is based in latest technology modified acrylic resins though it is extremely durable to weather
conditions and conforms to US standards (EPW-AC-M-1, EPY-AC-M-1 MEETS 115 Type 2) and
EU standards (EN 1871:2000, EN 12802:2000, EN 13197:2001 (P5), EN 1436:2007). During the
last twenty years the product has been applied in areas where climate conditions have a range of
50°C (Africa) upto -15°C (central Europe) , with our company to meet the challenge and be able to
adopt the anytime parameters and produce the right product.
Comments: Further details about performance of road marking paints and the way that we measure
performance are listed in the German Specification ZTV-M as determined by the ministry of IP.
Member d.e. Generally lifetime varies when striping crossings, points of revertants HGV etc. The
duration and degree of reflectivity depends on the percentage of glass beads. The painting is not
carried out when temperature is below 10°C and above 45°C.

GIC provides a comprehensive technical support services to specifiers, end users, contractors and is able to
offer on-site technical assistance.

Instructions for use

The surface should be dry and clear of any substance as dust, soil, oil, grease, etc. The temperature should be
between 10 and 45°C.
In the case of dilution use MEK, Acetone or Toluene max. 10%.

Application:
Stir well if needed. The product should be sprayed with airless machine with pressure 180-200bar. In extreme
cases you can use brush or roller (synthetic). Spray pattern should be even all through the width of the line.
For cleaning machinery use Toluene. Do not leave machinery more than 24hrs without cleaning.

Colors
White, Signal Yellow, Matt Black, Grey, Red, Green, Blue, total more than 20 shades based on RAL COLOR
Shades and additionally 3 FLOUROSCENT shades are available.

Coverage
800g/m² of paint but quantity may vary according to the surface and the job.

Packing
GIC RMP 77 is supplied in cans of 5 and 20 liters. Alternatively is available in plastic drums of 200 liters and
1000 liters IBC Tanks

Shelf life
12 months under recommended storage condition

Health and safety

GIC RMP 77W does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should not be
swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and goggles should
be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately
with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately – do not induce
vomiting.
