Walking pace and transilience may occur. If you walk too slowly, too much data will be
collected, and therefore it will take a long time to calculate the heat map.

Associate with the WLAN Planner
 The WLAN Tester can work with the WLAN Planner. After completing channel adjustment on the
WLAN Planner, you can import a network planning project to the WLAN Tester, which facilitates
subsequent project verification. Perform four steps to import a network planning project.

1 Choose File > Import Planner Project. 2 Select a network planning project and site
map, and import the project.

3 Click Planner on the navigation bar. 4 Click the Generate Simulation button on
the toolbar. You can view the simulation
result on the Display page.

Filter Signals (1/2)
 You can filter signals by frequency band to check
signal coverage of the 2.4G and 5G frequency
bands respectively.

 You can filter signals by channel to check signal

coverage of a single channel or multiple channels.

 You can filter signals by SSID to check signal

coverage of a single SSID or multiple SSIDs.

 You can filter signals by AP to check signal

coverage of a single AP or multiple APs.

Field strength heat map

In the XX project, the customer requires that the field strength should be at least -65 dBm in coverage areas. In this
situation, we can set the color bar threshold to -65 dBm and refresh the heat map. As shown in the preceding figure,
the field strength is below -65 dBm in the area marked in red. The customer's coverage requirement is not met. That is,
the current signal coverage is insufficient.

 The Tip box can display radio signal information at the point where the mouse curse stays on the
heat map. If you place the mouse cursor on a colored point for 2s, all signal data at the point will be
displayed. You can click the Tip clock on the toolbar to disable Tip display.

Export, Import, or Merge Paths

Export Paths
• You can export multiple paths at one time.

Import Paths
• You can only import one path package at one time.
• A path can only be imported into a node whose drawing is no smaller than the
drawing where the path is originally located.
• You cannot import paths of an indoor node to an outdoor node or import paths
of an outdoor node to an indoor node.

Merge Paths
• As for nodes on the same drawing, you can merge their paths tested by different
persons or at different times.
• You can merge two or more paths.
• There may be paths that fail to be calculated. After merging, these paths will be
automatically deleted.

perform the following operations:
 Select two different types of
heat maps to display on top
and bottom screens
respectively.
 Filter signals on top and
bottom screens respectively.
 Set different color schemes for
top and bottom screens.
 Zoom out or in the top and
bottom screens respectively.
