1. Tell us about yourself. We want to know the real you. Your peculiarities (we
like these!), likes, dislikes, adventures, non-adventures. You get the picture
😊: I would describe myself as a person who is keep to learn something new
every day. I’m a MBA student with an engineering background. I did my
graduation in Mechanical Engineering from IES College of Engineering. I spend
my leisure time by involving myself in lots of hobbies/activities. They include
stamp collection, reading, socialising with friends, playing football, cricket and
badminton.

2. Why us? (Not a goody-two-shoes response but really, we know you have
options out there, why choose this one): A clear definition of what you expect
from us is a major factor to choose the company. The detailed explanation of
task and responsibilities for each role you require makes it easier for us to
prepare what we need to do to.

3. Can you describe an instance of failure? What was the situation? What did you
do? How did you cope with the failure? What did you learn from it? What would
you do differently if a similar situation occurred again?

Me and my classmates made a Lawn Mower cycle as part of our Mini project
during graduation. The project was a failure and my group members were
disheartened since submission date was due. But I didn’t loose heart and
convinced my group member to give it a final try. And we were not only able
to complete the project in time but also get good grades for it. If I where in
that same situation again I would have planned my project design more
carefully as our project was a failure due to a fault in design plan.
4. Can you give us an example of a successful project you worked on? What was
your contribution to the project? What in your opinion were the critical success
factors of the project?
I was part of successful research project done my SIFL (Steel India Forging
Limited) which dealt with forge reduction ratio of Stainless Steel and Titanium
alloy. I played a key part in testing and validation of the research project. The
critical reason for the major success of the project was the team work and
proper coordination from everyone in the team.

5. What have been you most valuable learnings in the last year? Why?

Last year gave me the opportunity to join NIT Trichy. I was able to learn a lot
about Marketing, Finance, HR and other disciplines of Management. But the
most valuable learning experience for me was understanding the values of
people from different parts of India. I was also able to learn about the vastness
of our nation’s culture and how to work as a team with people having diverse
background.

6. What are some of the areas in which you would like to develop? How do you
plan to go about it?
I would like develop my communication skills and my technical knowledge on
marketing and an opportunity like this internship would drive me to work hard
in developing my skills as fast and efficient as possible.

7. In your opinion, which of the following is a better approach?


a. Increase prices to achieve higher revenues
b. Decrease prices to increase customer satisfaction

It depends on what you are trying to sell. Also, success for both the
scenarios depends on proper market research based on current situation in
the market. Quality of the product of the demand is seen we can reduce the
prices.
