Design your career with us!

Take the challenge to become the future expert in the
field of wind energy. Our study programme gives you
the opportunity to become an expert on important
issues such as the following:
How to manage the technical or economic integration
of a large amount of wind energy into the energy
supplier system
How to design and develop innovative concepts for
the single components of the wind energy converter
system, like the nacelle system, the rotor blade, or
the support structures

Students can use this knowledge for a career in a

company for wind park planning or in a public entity.
They can also become experts for a single component
in the development department of one of the worldwide
leading producers.

Kassel, with approx. 200,000 inhabitants, is located in
the heart of Germany by the River Fulda. The city
offers rich cultural and economic diversity. Opera and
theatres, concerts, open-air events, famous art
museums, and castles enrich the capital of the German
"Fairytale Route". Every five years, the world-famous
contemporary art exhibition "documenta" turns Kassel
into a cosmopolitan city. There are many parks and
forests in Kassel and its surroundings, where you can
relax in the open air or be active. The "Bergpark
Wilhelmshöhe", Europe's largest mountainside park, is
the most famous sight in Kassel. In 2013, the
"Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe" and its water cascades
became a UNESCO World Culture Heritage Site. An
excellent highway and railway infrastructure provides
you with the means to explore other German and
European cities in a fast and easy way (e.g., three
hours to Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich).
The Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences is located
in Witzenhausen is a small, typical Hessian town, some
35 km from Kassel. Approx. 1,000 students live and
work here. Historic, half-timbered houses lend a unique
charm to the small town, which is famous for its cherry
orchards in the surrounding areas. The annual "cherry
blossom celebration" in spring is a highlight for both
young and old.
