1.Spanish 4 hours As for me, language means something more in order

courses to understand the culture towards which you have
an interest. That is why I decided to attend an
intensive course of Spanish which lasted for 4 weeks
from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 13 pm. During
this time, I noticeably improved my Spanish, started
talking with local people, understanding the daily
speech around me and got more interest in the
language that allows me to learn Spanish with more
enthusiasm now.

2. Bus tour 2 hours In order to get acquainted with the city I decided to
take a bus tour around Barcelona. During the ride, I
got a possibility to learn a lot of new things about
Barcelona and Catalonia, their attitude towards
Spain, the fact that back in the history Catalonia
region used to be independent, follow their own law
and spoke their own language. It was worth taking a
ride on the bus as I was able to have an overview of
Barcelona and Catalonia and was ready to discover
more and more.

Day 2

Spanish 4 hours As I have already mentioned my every morning in

courses Barcelona started with learning of Spanish language
where we used to learn new phrases, grammar
structure, tenses, expressions and developing our
speaking and listening skills.
Every morning we started with conversations of
different topics in Spanish trying to form some nice
sentences together with the help of the teacher.
 Later on, we switched to specific exercises to boost
our proficiency.

Visiting the 2 hours One of the days I visited the University of Barcelona
University of and learnt that this establishment is second best in
Barcelona the world among Spanish speaking Universities.
Being an intensive learner of Spanish I discovered
several interesting Master programmes one of which
I would like to complete after my Bachelor degree.
On top of that, I got to know that there is a
possibility of yearly course of Academic Spanish for
foreign students who need a language improvement
in case of insufficient entrance exam score.

Day 3
Spanish 4 hours One of the day spent in school I noticed that the
courses exercises which consists of different words and
demand a reasonable sentence building improve my
understanding of grammar structure as a whole. The
task was to build sentences as fast as possible
together with your partner. In the end, you get the
ability to build a sentence pretty fast.

Visiting the 3 hours Seeing the Olympic park with my own eyes has made
Olympic park an impression on me. The Olympic Games which
in Montjuic took place in Barcelona in 1992 has left over a huge
and project which is very valued and well-maintained.
surrounding Being a lover of swimming I got a chance to swim in
sights. both indoor and outdoor swimming pools where the
competition during the Olympic Games were held.
On the way to Olympic park there is a huge beautiful
building which used to be a fortress and now is used
for cultural exhibitions.
On my way, to the underground I came across a
shopping centre which amazes with its architecture.
Before entering I was suspicious about its
predestination and only later on I learned that it
used to be a place for corrida(bullfight) which is an
essential part of Spanish culture.
 Day 4
Spanish courses 4 hours One of the days we had to imitate a speed date
activity during the Spanish class. The teacher
organized a face to face line and gave 2 minutes per
conversation in which we had to ask each other
different questions. After 2 minutes, we changed the
partners and had to go over the same process again.
To sum up, I must say that this type of exercises
helps to build the speaking skills as we train it in
stressful situation with the people we don’t know
and as an obstacle teacher put a background music
to make the atmosphere more challenging.
Networking 2 hours During the first week of my stay in Barcelona the
event school organised a Networking event in which every
person studying at the school could participate.
I decided not to decline a great opportunity to
interact with the people from all over the world.
Before coming to the event, I made up my made to
talk to as many people as possible and exchange the
experience with those who has the same business
interest.
In the end, I came across people whose objectives
were varied but interesting to know.
We exchanged contacts and doing fellow up with
each other by social media: discussing the events,
and sharing professional challenges (finding an
internship).
In my opinion, I gained a lot from that networking
event as I learned new people, got additional
contacts and obtained more experience while
interacting with others.

Day 5
Climbing the 3 hours One of the activities which allowed me to broaden
mountains with my horizons and expand my networking connections
the school was due to walking along the way to the highest
members mountain in Barcelona which is called Tibidabo.
There is also a church located on this mountain on
top of which we can see a Jesus statue.
On the way to the mountain it was extremely
difficult to walk as the way was steep and the sun
was giving too much heat. During the breaks, I got to
know a Chinese couple which moved to Barcelona
recently. We had a nice conversation from which I
learned that they both worked in real estate agency
and will to continue their paths here in Spain after
mastering the language. After this I was invited for
 dinner at their house. Later on, we started spending
more and more time together.
P.S on the way back we went with cableway.

Spanish courses 4 hours One day of the week was devoted to listening skills
in which we used to listen wealth of dialogs, texts.
The exercises were diverse but the one which I
remembered most was filling in the gaps while
listening. This technique is very efficient as it allows
the listener not to get confused after the first
moments of the speech. Due to this reason, I started
understanding the local speech in the streets and
day by day learnt to answer the questions which in
the first days I couldn’t understand at all.
