National Editors’ Conclave Conference
Editors’ Conclave ‘18, the national conference for editors, was held for the first time on 25th
February 2018, at Chennai. Editors from various locations such as Mumbai, Chandigarh,
Vizag, Chennai, etc. participated in this conference.
Yateendra Joshi, one of the speakers, is the first and the only Indian BELS-certified editor
with a Diplomate status, out of 30 people worldwide. Dr. Venkataraman was the first
Indian editor to make a presentation at Editors’ Canada. Dr. Nilima Vyas briefed the editors
about alt text and the primary function of
accessibility.
The Conclave provided an excellent
forum to interact with such elite
editors.
Mr. KP Eashwar, the founder of ADCS
communications, is one of panel members
of Editors’ Conclave. He comes with 27
years of experience in the publishing
industry.
Mr. Selvin Vedamanickam’s closing
keynote was very informative to all
the editors who participated. He is a
self-styled business consultant with rich
experience in the publishing field. Editors Conclave

available for editors and also other editorial stuff. All the editors are looking forward to
such conferences in the future.

ACE Rajkot Marathon
More than 100 ACE employees participated in the 3rd Rajkot Marathon (for 42km,
21km, 10km, 5km and 1km distance) on 18th Feb, 2018 under guidance of Hitesh Vora
(ACE-GM).
ACE’s finisher of half Marathon: 3 persons of ACE group completed the 21KM run -
Hitesh Vora (GM-ACE), Prakash Pithva (TL- LPP) and Mitesh Vora (Sr DVO).
With the theme “Clean Rajkot”, the event was flagged off by Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani,
jointly organized by Rajkot Municipal Corporation and Rajkot City Police.
The Marathon’s brand ambassador and star attraction was Indian Cricketer Test player
Chateshwar Pujara. There were 64,160 participants in the run.

Coming together to support children
with hearing loss
The Gupta Family Foundation was able to bring together two organizations
with the same goal of supporting children with hearing loss. Balavidyalaya
and The Global Foundation for Children with Hearing Loss (GFCHL)
connected face to face in Chennai to share details about their programs and
discuss ways they could collaborate and reach out to more children with
hearing loss in different parts of the world, thereby help more Infants “Listen
from Infancy and Talk for a Lifetime.”
Balavidyalaya supports children in India, while GFCHL largely supports
children in Cambodia and Vietnam. The two organizations hope to find ways
to partner and improve their programs through the sharing of best practices
and successes.

Shashi and Margaret Gupta has the pleasure of visiting one of the Gupta
Family Foundation supporting organizations, Kenya Connect, earlier in
March to meet the staff and volunteers, and learn more about the program.
Kenya Connect works to empower and engage students and teachers to be
successful in the 21st century.
