As you will see on my enclosed resume, I am a fourth semester Nursing Student at Jackson College with
expected graduation in May 2018. I have gained indispensable clinical experience and critical thinking
skills that provide a solid foundation for my nursing career. My current position as a Laboratory Assistant
with Henry Ford Allegiance Health has given me the opportunity to learn the operations of the Lab
Department and about the processing of critical specimens that will help facilitate my care of patients as a
Registered Nurse. As a Healthcare Assistant with Planned Parenthood of Michigan, I became accustomed
to the workings of a fast-paced medical environment and it taught me important multitasking and
organizational skills. My time as a medical scribe provided electronic charting experience and instilled the
significance of accuracy and efficiency as priorities when providing patient care. I have a strong
background working in customer service with more than 15 years experience. This has helped me develop
excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as an energetic and professional demeanor that I
maintain in all aspects of my performance.

In addition to my professional experiences, I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology
from Michigan State University, with plans to earn a Master of Science degree in Nursing Education. I am
a Certified Phlebotomy Technician and anticipate to utilize this skill in my nursing practice. I take pride
in my ability to help others and look forward to making a positive change in my community.
