Dementia UK is the national charity, committed to improving quality of life for all people

affected by dementia. We provide best-practice, specialist dementia support for families through
our Admiral Nurse service. Our Admiral Nurses are a lifeline to thousands of people, providing
psychological support, advice and information to family carers. We also run a national Admiral
Nurse Dementia Helpline for family and professional carers, people with dementia and those
worried about their memory.

Director of Clinical Service

£66,000 to £82,000, plus NHS pension

Having successfully expanded our Admiral Nurses by over 150% we are seeking an inspiring
dementia expert to continue our growth strategy and ensure that Admiral Nurses are represented
geographically, across the UK. Building on our strong profile and highly-credible reputation, the
Director of Clinical Services will both ensure our clinical staff are supported to provide an
exceptional service and act as an ambassador for Dementia UK externally, to a wide range of
stakeholders across the UK. The Director of Clinical Services will also be a key part of our
senior management team, providing strategic leadership and working closely with the CEO/Chief
Admiral Nurse.

We are looking for a registered nurse with proven experience in the field of dementia who
thrives in leading a dedicated and passionate team, focussed on continuous development. With a
comprehensive understanding of healthcare policy and its implications on clinical services, you
will be driven by our commitment to place families living with dementia at the heart of
everything we do. An innovative and strategic thinker, you will have strong interpersonal and
communication skills and experience working with a range of stakeholders. Crucially, you will
enjoy working collaboratively with a motivated and autonomous team as well as being a key part
of our expansion strategy to increase our much needed care and support.
