them. Approximately 5 sentences long.

Introduction Introduce students to words that express emotion and tell them to listen for
them while I am reading the book.

Body Read- The Day the Crayons Quit


Ask questions about how they think that the crayon is feeling? And why they
think that?
Introduce creative writing assignment. (What would your crayons tell you?)
Brainstorm with class words that they could use, write words on board for
reference for the students.
Closure -Ask students what type of words that they chose to use in their stories.
-Turn and share with your neighbor.
