**Comparison of results before and after installation of Vespel

Actual Result comparison

The readings recorded before pump shut-off with metallic wear rings.

• Flow= 88 m3/hr.
• Discharge Pressure= 84 kg/ cm2g
• Suction Pressure= 1.7 kg I cm2g
• Sp.Gravity of liquid= 0.981

Hence differential head is,

(84- 1. 7} x 10 =838.94 M.tr

Power in kW = {88 x 838.94 x 0.981)

367 X 0.76

= 259.6 Kw

Current measured by Energy meter before Installation of Vespel = 66 amps

Power per 1 amp= 259.6 = 3.93 kW

Current measured by Energy meter after installation of Vespel = 62.5 amps

Hence Power reduction corresponding to 3.5 amps =13.76 kW

Saving in Energy /kw-hr = 13.76 x 3 = Rs 41.265/-

Cost of power saving per year= 41.265 x 8760 = Rs. 3,61,481/-
