Job description: Documenting vitals, I&O, weights, monitoring blood sugars, 1:1 sitting, change vent
tubing, drawing blood, Place/remove Foley catheters, and IV’s, EKG’s, scheduling consults, ADL patient
specific care; bathing, toileting, feeding, ambulating etc., Stocking and reorganizing the unit accordingly,
checking crash cart. I also have had the opportunity while being a patient care tech in CCU to float to
other depts. as needed; med surg, mental health, ER.
Job description: Drawing blood both inpatient and outpatient. I have gone to off sites and long term care
facilities outside of the hospital for the hospital as well. Main duties as a phleb include: ordering blood
test(s), drawing the blood, and then receiving the specimens. Organizing and stocking were also included
in the duties.
