references (on the last page) must be included according to APA 6th Edition.

Q.1 Read Unit 1. Write all components of Krashen’s Natural Approach to language
teaching. (10)
Q.2 Read Unit 2. What are the key responsibilities of a teacher in a student-centred EFL
classroom? Explain with suitable examples. (10)
Q.3 Read Unit 3. Justify the use of group work in large class and explain the different
ways of forming groups in the large class. How can a teacher monitor input and
performance of each participant of group work? (10)
Q.4 Read Unit 4. Design a lesson plan for the students of class 8 th using dramatization

ASSIGNMENT No. 2
This assignment is a research oriented. You are required to study the relevant
area/conduct research and prepare a brief report on your findings in the area given. You
will then have to submit one copy of the report to the tutor within the scheduled period
and at the same time present the report/project in one of the tutorials (The schedule/plan
of the tutorials for the presentation will be intimated by the tutor concerned or the
Regional Director). The presentation carries 100 marks, 40 marks for the written report
and 60 for the presentation.
Guidelines for the written report and the presentation:
a) The written report should have an introduction, body and conclusion. It should be
written in clear, concise and correct English.
b) It should be 5-8 double spaced typed/handwritten pages.
c) APA 6th edition should be followed for references.
d) You must go through five books.
e) The oral presentation is to be assessed and evaluated mainly in
i. Contents of the assignment/report
ii. Communication skills
iii. Language accuracy
iv. Language fluency
v. Presentation style
You may use audio visual aids like charts or any other relevant material for impressive
presentation with the permission of your tutor.

Newspapers expand the curriculum with an unlimited amount of information to use as


background for learning activities. Discuss different uses of Newspapers with examples.
Design a lesson regarding any two skills from four language skills. Various activities
must be incorporated in it. Practice the lesson plan in the classroom and share your result
in a brief research.
