(Giving of certificate and gift for the former International Community Parish Pastoral Council.)

PART II. INDUCTION / COMMISIONING OF THE NEW ICPPC OFFICERS

Introduction by the Pastoral Coordinator:

Our parish has elected a new International Community Parish Pastoral Council for this
year 2018. I now invite those who have accepted the nomination and agreed to undertake this
role and responsibilities as officers and members of the ICPPC to come forward.

 STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT

Priest Presider: The International Community Parish Pastoral Council is a body of leaders
from different liturgical ministries and organizations who will work together to build a
vibrant community here in Immaculate Heart of Mary, Cathedral that reflects gospel values of
love, justice and peace.

Therefore I now ask you …

Are you willing to accept the responsibilities of being a member of this International
Community Parish Pastoral Council and to give your time and talents to its mission and
ministry?

Priest Presider: Are you willing to actively seek the involvement and cooperation of all
parishioners to assist you in fulfilling the initiatives the International Community Parish
Pastoral Council undertakes?

Priest Presider: Are you willing to listen and respond to the needs and concerns of this
parish community?

ICPPC: I am

Priest Presider: Will you take time to reflect and prayerfully plan for the future of this parish
and prioritize initiatives you will undertake?

Priest Presider: Will you be a channel of communication with the parish, the diocese and the
wider community?

Priest Presider: Will you strive to be more like Christ so that you will be better able to serve
his people?

Presiding Priest: May God bless and sustain you in the work you have taken on for this
parish community. Be a beacon of light in the life of the Church. Christ is the light of the
world. Your task is to walk in the light of Christ and to share it with others.
Presentation of the Lighted Candle (The outgoing President/Vice-President lit
the candle)

Pastoral Coordinator: The presentation of a lighted candle to the new President.

(The former President or Vice President will give the lighted candle to the
new President)

Out Going Vice - President: May this candle remind you of your mission to let the light of
Christ shine out to everyone especially to this parish.

Pastoral Coordinator: May I request the Vice – president, Secretary, Assistant Secretary,
Treasurer, and the Assistant Treasurer and other officers of the different ministry and prayer
group community to come forward to join the International Community Parish Pastoral
Council to say the Act of commitment

OURSELVES TO YOUR CHURCH/ AS YOUR SERVANT/ ACCORDING
