Noise Makers
My Noise Maker

We needed a way to cheer on our Olympic athletes without wearing out our
voices. We looked at some models to give us ideas before we started.
We designed a noise maker and made a plan to follow. Then we gathered up the
things we could use and constructed our noise makers. We trialled them and
discussed modifications to our final product.
We could make our noisemakers better by adding different things to the inside

Achievement Objectives:
Technological Knowledge: Understand that noise makers are made from materials
that have performance properties.
Technological Practice: Follow an action plan to make a noise maker with
appropriate steps and resources.

Criteria for success—child is able to…..


* identify/select suitable materials few/some/many
* use appropriate descriptive language developing/achieving
* understand the function of their noisemaker a little/a lot
* demonstrate basic technical skills like cutting/gluing developing/achieving
* suggest modifications few/some/many
