NOTICE OF APPEAL

The undersigned counsel de officio, for accused, RICHARD DALE V. ESCOLANO, unto the
Honorable Court, respectfully gives notice that he is appealing to the Court of Appeals the Decision
of the Honorable Court dated May 3, 2011 and promulgated on the same date, finding him guilty of
the Crime of Robbery with Violence on the ground that the said decision is contrary to facts, law and
evidence.

Meanwhile, the accused states that on May 5, 2011, accused, through counsel, filed a Motion
for Reconsideration. The same motion was denied for lack of merit in a Resolution issued by the
Honorable Court on May 7, 2011. The Resolution was received by the undersigned counsel on May
10, 2011. Hence, this Notice of Appeal.
