¾ PRODUCTION: This cluster had a variety of machine tool making units whose annual
production varied tremendously. For small components of machine tools, the
production was in millions per annum, whereas for major heavy machine tools, the
production was only a few hundred units per annum. Thus, this led to a very large
difference in class intervals as shown below.

™ Peenya Industrial Area, divide in 4 phase (1,2,3 & 4) This industrial complex has a
variety of Small Scale Industries engaged in the production, maintenance and
service in the various disciplines of mechanical, electrical, electronics, automobile,
, machine tools and a cross section of other industrial activities.
™ Bommasandra Industrial area is key industrial area in Bangalore this is a hub of
automobile component manufacturers, Machine tools
™ The units are in operation since last 10/15 years and running in general shift.
™ Power situation is normal, units are getting electricity for 20 –22 hours, the avg.
unit rate is @4.20 to 4.85 per unit.
™ In the machine tool cluster there are no specific end product being manufactured,
some units are engaged in making spares, accessories, some are engaged in
assembly of major parts, components for CNC machines.
