BOPPPS LESSON PLAN TEMPLATE

Title: Educational Administration for Secondary Schools
Topic: Educational Leadership
Bridge-In (3 minutes)

Teacher presents a principalship scenario and asks if the scenario requires leadership or management. The teacher receives a few
responses and states the topic and objectives of the session.
Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, learners will have:

1. Distinguish between various theories of leadership;


2. Appreciate successful school leadership by weighing the practices of the various types presented;
3. Given various school-related scenarios, reflect on their actions, attributes and values as a leader/potential leader, weighing
them against those of successful leaders.
Pre-Assessment Materials

The teacher distributes a KWL sheet for students to record what they ‘Know’ and ‘Want to know’ about -
leadership theories. They share with class while teacher assess what is known about the topic.

Learners compare what they have learnt to what they thought they knew and what they wanted to learn.
