Dear Ms. Riley,
1am pleased to give my highest posible recommendation for Emory Bouffard tobe admitted into your
program. | teach Emory’s Honors Physics class and also an Introduction to Engineering class that she's
in, She is one ofthe best students I've had the privilege of teaching during my 14-year teaching carer.
fm sure she'l bea great asset to you
"Not only i Emory highly Intelligent and hard working she's also compassionate and concerned about
‘the people around her. though Emory i always te fist student to get” ficult concepts in my
Classes, she never flaunts her abilities. She allows others to find thelr way to the answer, eving
assistance when asked but never being overbearing or condescending. The ather students greatly
admire and respact her, wile net being intimidated a all by her. She is true fiends with al students,
Which | think is quite impressive when | consider how large the gap is between her ablites and many of
thers. alltoo often I've seen highly nteligent students who have dificulty relating to their peers but
ve never seen that problem with Emory.
Emory is very conscientious and takes great care to get every detail right. The lab reports and
engineering studies that she writes for my classes are so thorough and well written that you'd think they
re fw atk with me aut
were writen bye vllege student high suioo student, She often
‘of regular class hours, not because she needs help but because she's interested in knowing more about
‘physics and engineering. She genuinely loves learning and fe curious to understand things at a much
deeper love than other students do.
Emory fs very creative and has great problem solving ablites. She has been given many open-ended
tasks in my classes which require her to think up unique solutions to dificult problems which sometimes
have purposely been vaguely defined. I've been highly impressed with the way Emory methodical
approaches and solves these problems. Although the problems I've given her have been technical and
-scentifc in nature, lean tell fom her approach to solving them that she would be great a solving any
type of problem, bet social, political, or whatever.
|can assure you that Emory wil bean oustanding contributor to your program if youselect her for
admission,
