I conquer that speech organization is one of the important things that an individual needs

to take into consideration before the actual delivery. As such, this process does not only enable a

person to be more conversant with what he or she is going to deliver but to a larger extent, it

helps in identifying the most important points such as the ideas that bring out the sense in the

speech and the thesis statement. However, it is necessary for an individual to identify the

minimum of two and a maximum of four main points.

To commence with the patterns of organization, I agree that a person must maintain a

pattern that will enable him or her deliver his or her message efficiently and meet the needs of

the audience. For instance, he or she may decide to apply the chronological pattern, causal

pattern, problem and solution or the spatial order. The chronological pattern involves aligning the

flow of ideas in a speech to a sequence of events whereas spatial order entails aligning the flow

of ideas in terms of the direction of location. The causal pattern gives a description of a cause

and effect, and problem solution presents a particular problem with its solution. Last but not least

topical involves dividing a topic into subtopics and discussing them.

I agree that when it comes to the preparation of the main points, it is important for the

points to be separated and there should be consistency in the words. Moreover, the points should

be balanced. Most importantly, a speech should contain transitional words and internal previews.

This should be followed by an internal summary of the points that will be discussed.

Furthermore, I agree that connectives such as signposts play a vital role in directing the audience

on where the speaker has reached. As such, this can be implemented by the use of questions,

phrases that emphasize and numbers. Lastly, it is important for all the borrowed sources to be

cited. This does not only add credibility to the ideas in the speech makes them ethical. In this

regard, through citations credit is given to the owners of the source and information is delivered

accurately.
All said and done. I conclude by emphasizing that a good speech should be based on the

main points, use connectors and should not be plagiarized. Nonetheless, it should effectively

meet the needs of the audience.
