Family Vision Statement

Instructions:

1. Each person take a copy of the following brainstorm worksheet and answer the
questions

You can use this worksheet either digitally or with a pen.

To use it digitally simply save how every many copies you need.
To save as a Google doc - make a copy and save in your Google drive
To save as a Word document - click “file” - “download as” - “Microsoft word”

To use with a pen/paper simply print.

2. Fill in each question - if you have printed it you may need to use extra paper.

3. Then start comparing notes. You may like to prepare another copy to use as
your combined worksheet. As you each share what you wrote take note of
 The ideas that are the same.
 The ideas that you may not have thought of but resonate with you now
that they have been mentioned
 Discuss each idea and evaluate how significantly important it is, and if
you can come to a place where you decide yes, it is important for our
family, or no, it isn’t that important after all.
 The ideas that you both agree upon get recorded in your Combined
Worksheet

4. Now look at the answers in each of the six questions

 Can you combine ideas
 Can you see a theme

5. You can now start to formulate a few sentences that articulates these ideas - you
are on your way to a family vision statement!

emotional, social, intellectual, physical well being?

What values do you want your family to live by, regardless of life?
