Kind reference is invited to the discussions held between the Chief Commissioner and the Principal Commissioner/Commissioners of Ahmedabad Sector on 28.03.2018. The agenda points for the meeting were suggestions for amendments / changes to the Guidelines for ‘Transfer/Kotation/Posting Policy 2015 on account of the implementation of GST. The changes are being suggested considering the administrative needs, modified geographical areas of the CGST Commissionerates, omission of the Service Tax formations and other allied factors. 2. Reference is also invited to the proposals/comments received from various formations falling under the jurisdiction of CGST Ahmedabad Zone in response to this office letter of even no. dated 22.02.2018. The meeting deliberated on the following issues in order to go ahead with a formal meeting to be scheduled shortly. Thus, you are requested to kindly examine the proposals for changes. The para-wise proposed changes/amendments to the existing transfer policy F.No. II/13-01/CCO/2015 dated 08.05.2015 (as amended) are as under: : 3.1. Para 3 (d): CESTAT, Ahmedabad Bench: The tenure of posting in CESTAT, Ahmedabad Bench will be for a period of 2 years. The provision may be omitted as the allocation of cadre strength to Directorates on loan basis vide F.No. 11019/5/2017-Ad.IV dated 16.06.2017 does not provide any sanction of officers for CESTAT, Ahmedabad from the strength of CGST, Ahmedabad Zone. Office of the Authorised Representative, CESTAT has submitted the following report/comments: I. Board’s letter dtd. 16.6.17 has allocated 15 Supdts. & 24 Insprs. 2. The allocation of 2 Supdts. & 3 Insprs. from Vadodara. But, as Vadodara does not have a Bench, it is obvious the allocation is for Ahmedabad. .
