Migration of 560CMU05 to 560CMR02

Migration of 560CMU02 to 560CMR01

Change from CF-card to SD-card

Chapter 1: Migration based on Release 11
Preconditions:

 From the configuration file (*.rcd) on the 560CMUxx, have a copy on your computer, create a backup
file

 Old hardware:
560CMU05/02 has newest firmware release 11 and configuration release 11

 New hardware:
560CMR02/01 SD-card loaded with newest firmware Release 11 but no configuration

Actions:
 Change your RTU configuration for the use of the new 560CMRxx
 For details of the next steps, please read: “User‘s guide RTUtil500“

 Use RTUtil500 Release 11

 Extract the configuration from the rcd-file

 Modify the hardware tree

 Select the 560CMUxx to be replaced

 Right click on the CMU and select menu option “Replace item“
 If required, do this for all CMUs (a mixture of old and new ones is possible)
 Build a new rcd-file

 Change the hardware modules

 Remove 560CMUxx from the Rack

 Insert 560CMRxx into the same slot
 Connect your computer via USB cable to the service-port (micro-USB) on the CMR
(for usage of“Default IP via USB“, please see separate documentation)

 Update the new configuration

 Copy the new rcd-file to the 560CMRxx

 Restart the RTU, remove the USB cable
Example for Replacement of 2x 560CMU05 to 2x 560CMR02 based on Release 11
Chapter 2: Migration based on Release 12
Preconditions:

 From the configuration file (*.rcd) on the 560CMUxx, have a copy on your computer, create a backup
file

 Old hardware:
560CMU05/02 has newest firmware release 12 and configuration release 12

 New hardware:
560CMR02/01 SD-card already configured with newest Release 12 but no configuration

Actions:
 Change your RTU configuration for the use of the new 560CMRxx
 For details of the next steps, please read: “User‘s guide RTUtil500“

 Use RTUtil500 Release 12

Chapter 3: Migration from older releases to Release 12
 Launch tool RTUtil500 (release 12 or later)

 Open the project file from any older release,

store it under a new folder and/or filename

 Migration of the project was done automatically

 Important: Modify configuration of the Ethernet interfaces E1 and E2 (see picture below)
(see function description Release 12 part 9)
Example:
Remove Line104 on E2, it is connected only to E1
Remove SNTP Client 1 on E2, it is configured only on E1
Remove HMI on E1, it must be used on E2 only

 Follow the steps in Chapter 1 or Chapter 2:
