My mentors name is Desiree Depaolo. She has her associate
degree of nursing from College of the Mainland. She has been
employed with Memorial Hermann South-east for 12 years.
My Mentorship
Key Point 2
Beta-blockers (medication reducing blood pressure),
reduce re-infarction for people with severe Myocardial
Infarction.
However, they have no effect on mortality for short term,

Compared to a placebo, ACE inhibitors
(pharmaceutical drugs) reduce death rate in patients.

Primary PTCA (operation done after Myocardial
Infarction or heart attack right after being admitted in
the hospital).
Within 12 hours on onset of chest pain reduces risk of
death, re-infarction, and stroke, and stroke compared
with thrombolysis.
