As the name implies, The Logo gives emphasis to the words ‘Ready Care'
typographically, where the first three green line is created as capital R shape and the
combination of the last three green line was shaped like capital C.
The concept behind the Logo design is intended to primarily invoke recognition
immediacy. Rhetorically, its constructional development is an exercise to create the
unique form, as a symbol, to be easily recognized. Colors rendered are in dark green that
shows the faith and sincerely of Radicare staff in solving problems in hospitals as the main
user.
The first five line of the Logo also introduced the five services in Radicare including
Clinical Waste, Linen and Laundry, Biomedical Engineering, Facility Engineering, and

2.6 Radibems Sdn Bhd
The company has been formed with the core team members comprising of management
and maintenance specialists with vast experience in Biomedical Engineering. With its track
record of handling numerous hospitals throughout Malaysia and its affiliation with
international organisations as technology partners, Radibems has the capability to
undertake the most demanding and technically challenging maintenance jobs.
Radibems has the experience to set up and implement the BEM services for one
hospital or a group of hospitals. The actual service to be delivered and the mechanism
involved will however depend on the scope of services agreed between the client and
Radibems.
Radibems applies the risk base concept of maintenance where the devices
installed in a hospital are uniquely categorized according to its risks associated with its
applications based on the discipline and the nature of the hospital’s healthcare patient
service. This concept is a step-ahead approach of biomedical engineering maintenance
differentiating Radibems as a biomedical engineering organization from the others by
being a technology manager rather than just a repair company.
21
As specialists in biomedical engineering maintenance, Radibems offers a
comprehensive programme of planned and scheduled maintenance of all diagnostic,
therapeutic, laboratory and other associated and allied equipments used for medical and
research purposes.

CHAPTER 3
TRAINING REPORT
3.0 Introduction
In this chapter, the focus is on technical part which is divided into two part, technical part and
software. Technical part included the equipments that have been learned during the training period.
In software part, it included the software that used during the training which is Centre Management
The Objective of the CMIS is to provide adequate and timely information to the MOH
and the consortium on the service levels at each of the Hospitals. This EIS is expected to be
standardized across the 3 consortium members to ensure that the MOH is able to review the
entire operations in one standard format and to also facilitate comparisons across the
consortium members.
CMIS is expected to be accessed by all users at the MOH office at Putrajaya, SIHAT. State and
Hospital directors and the consortium members shall also be given access to the same EIS for their
respective territories to enable effective monitoring.

Here below are the assets that registered under Radibems in Hospital Pasir Puteh. Those
assets can be viewed from the CMIS system. The complete history about all asset including Testing
and Commissioning, Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance of each asset can be found by this
system.

3.2 Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
Scheduled Work Order is a scheduled work that generate by the system. It is also
known as Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM). It is a yearly service that technician need
to do to all the equipment listed with proper work. Several document need to be prepared for
the PPM such as check list, PPM notice and tester checklist. Here below are the total PPM
done during this training.

3.3 Equipments
Electrical Safety Analyzer is a tool that used to test the electrical safety of biomedical
devices as well as other electrical operating equipment. This means that its area is use is very
extensive, ranging from manufacturers to hospital operators, and from service providers all
the way through to industrial facilities.
In the biomedical field, a very much higher level of safety is aimed for than in most
other branches of electrical engineering. For this reason, great attention is devoted to matters
of safety by the employer’s liability assurance associations and by legislators in conjunction
with their supervisory authorities. The reasons for this are perfectly obvious. The health of life
of the patient may already be endangered if very low currents flow through his body, or if
there are failures of the life-support equipment with which he is being examined, monitored
or treated.
When the technical safety requirements were being specified, account had to be
taken of certain fact: that there may be a permanent connection between patient and parts
of biomedical devices, that the patient’s skin resistance may be penetrated depending on the
application, that their defensive capability is reduced in the case analgesia or eliminated in the
case of anaesthesia, and that a special danger is present when parts of devices are used in and
on the heart, because the inner cardiac muscle is highly sensitive to electrical current.
41
Figure 3.9 : Electrical Safety Analyzer
Electrical Safety Analyzer uses a specifically international standard IEC 601-1. IEC 601-
1 is standard for electrical safety has admitted by most developing countries as a rule
corresponding to medical equipment. International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is
located in Geneva, Switzerland which has introduced IEC 601-1. IEC 601-1 is important to
adhere to ensure the quality safety of users is guaranteed. If these rules are not obeyed, he
may cause the impression applicable electrical physiology. In the IEC 601-1, it contains the
terms and exams required.
