Just a note to you and your family on this day when we are all thinking about our beloved

Jonathan. We want you to know that we are praying continually for you and find comfort in the
only place where it resides – the Lord Jesus Christ and His promise of redemption.
My girls always ask about you and how you’re doing, know that they care for you and your
family. We struggle as mere humans to know what to say and when to speak and when to be
quiet, but we do understand that God knows more than us, infinitely more… and He’s also not a
God of ill will or One who lacks compassion. He cares for us.
Let’s hear His Word today for our strength and encouragement.
Let’s listen to the truths of Christ for our hope.
Let’s believe that we shall indeed see Jonathan again where no more tears and perfection dwell
in perfect peace and love and worship.
We love you and never forget that, yet more importantly… God loves you even in the pain and
remembrance.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be
silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” Psalm 30:11-12
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to
bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to
proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are
bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our
God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion-- to give them
a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the
garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of
righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:1-3
Psalm 103:2-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who
forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from
the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.”

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth
had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of
God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God
himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their
eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor
pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:1-4
