Objectives:
Students will be able to LIST at least three facts about the artist by heart
(remembering)
Resources:
Canvas/Paper
Paint/Colored Pencils
Engage: I will introduce the lesson by...Introducing the artist by relying one or two
interesting facts about the artist to make the artist more appealing. Then I would show
and describe the artist's work on a smart board, with the site written above and hand
out the question handouts.
Explain: I will explain what and how to answer the questions. They will get their
information off the site that is provided.
Elaborate: I can give them another kid-friendly site to learn more information, possibly
rent out a DVD about Picasso and show the class. On the site, there are certain works
mentioned but no pictures. The student can copy and paste the title of the work into
Google, admire his works and look for inspiration. Bonus: After completeing the
questions, students will need to develop a painting inspired by the artist.
Evaluate: There are 10 questions. The student needs six question correct to pass the
quiz. The student will need to have made an artwork inspired by Picasso using
cusbism/blue period/rose period. Afterwords, the students will speak about their work.
