Student Weekly Notes- Week 1

General 0, 1 & 2 monday- All students were familiar with strategies and facts, some students
Instruction needed more “reaction time” to problems, while others could answer right away. Students
& Class didn’t need much instruction, just refreshing, with 0 & 1 strategies, most needed instruction
Notes time to remember to double twos (use repeated addition)

5’s instruction tuesday for LH, AH, TL & EB (knew snow was coming), skip counting and
knowing ended in 5 & 0 were favorite strategy
Wednesday- Snow Day
Did 5’s for the rest on Thursday after snow day-- all used skip counting. Worked on using
5’s facts they MEMORIZED to then skip count on or back.
10’s instruction for ALL Friday, they finished work. Only DK did not finish in math. Again,
didn’t need much instruction just refreshing of strategies.

LH Finished 0 & 1, started 2 monday

5’s tuesday, Finished 10’s on friday
Only refreshing strategies, relatively strong.

JP Finished 0,1, & 2 end of tuesday

Started 5’s on Thursday Finished 5 & 10 by end of week
Had to think more with 2’s facts, wasn’t as automatic

AH Finished 0 & 1, started 2 monday

Started 5’s instruction and work tuesday, Finished 10’s on Friday
Needed refreshing of strategies, also relatively strong.

TL Finished 0 & 1 monday started 2 on tuesday

(ESOL) Instructed on 5’s tuesday, finished 5’s early thursday. FInished 10’s
Did well with all facts, but needed time applying strategies quickly

DK Finished 0,1, & 2 end of tuesday

(SPED) Started 5’s on Thursday
Did ​not​ finish 10’s

EB Finished 0 & 1 monday

Started 5’s tuesday, needed thursday to finish 5’s
Finished 10s on friday.
Needed some motivation to stay on task and stay focused
MP Finished 0,1, & 2 end of tuesday
(ESOL & Started 5’s on Thursday
FARMS) FInished 10’s
Much faster with 10’s than 5’s
