Objective:
The course will help students improve their language skills and become
familiar with the southern culture in Nashville, Tennessee.
Summary:
The Intensive English Program & Cultural Immersion (IEP&CI) is designed for
individuals who have at least an A2+ level in the CEFR and desire to have an
intensive language experience.

Duration:
This course is 3 weeks long with 16 – 20 hours of course instruction a week
Arrival: Saturday - June 9, 2018
Class Start: Monday - June 11, 2018
Class End: Friday - June 29, 2018
Departure: Saturday – June 30, 2018
Participant institutions:
Tennessee State University

Beneficiaries: Students and Professors from TdeA

Selection Criteria:
- At least an A2+ level
- At least 3.8 grade average
- Desire to have an intensive language experience

Deliverables:
- Mobility report and socialization of the experience
- Student beneficiaries of the mobility incentive must compensate 80
hours of academic, administrative, socialization, or marketing
activities coordinated by the DINT (Dirección de Internacionalización)

- Professors who are beneficiaries of the mobility incentive must

develop the content of two subjects from their respective program’s
study plan in English.
How to apply:
- Present at the DINT or via email the following documents:
- Signed application form
- Copy of passport or identity card (CC)
- Language Certificate (track test or certificate from the language
center)
Application deadline:
April 25th, 2018
Fees:

$1.785 USD

Includes tuition, extracurricular activities, course materials, housing, and

meal plan

Other costs:
Airtickets (500 – 750 USD aprox.)
Visa (160 USD)
International Insurance (50 USD aprox.)

Comments:

Incentives for students:

- 4 incentives of 100% of registration (1785 USD)
- 1 incentive of 50% of the registration (892.5 USD)
- 1 incentive of 25% of the registration (446.25)
To apply to the incentives, you must attach:
- Certificate of participation in research groups (including affiliation date)
- Certificate of participation in university projection groups

Incentives for Professors:

- 5 incentives of 100% of the registration (1785 USD): full-time professors

* incentives for professors will be assigned according to the level of English

with the endorsement of the dean and looking to have at least one per
faculty and the department of basic sciences and common areas.
