The occupational health, safety and welfare of all employees engaged in
the work site, is the Primary concern of Anand Electrical and several
measures have already been introduced in this regard.
However, depending upon the specific condition and type of work, safety
procedures will have to be evolved and implemented by the Site In-charge, who
is responsible to ensure that all the workers working under him shall observe
the following SAFETY CODES.

Work Place
All workers shall restrict their operation to the designed work spots and
does not leave the place without the knowledge of their Supervisors.
They are required to strictly follow the “IN & OUT” Regulations of the
respective workstation and as laid down by the principle employer.

Hazardous work area

The hazardous working Area/condition shall be identified and work
carried out under direct supervision of the Engineer/Supervisor.
The Company, whose guidance shall be taken for any specific
purpose, engages separate Expertise agent.

Working at height
Proper means of working at height, safety and Conveniently shall be
employed using special scaffolding, step ladders, platform ladders,
Scissors Lifts that are to be kept in perfect working conditions. All
workers working at height shall use safety belts provided by the firm.

Tools and tackles

Appropriated class and capacity of tools and tackles shall be employed
for all erection jobs with sufficient margin of safety. Right tool for the
right job shall be used. For Floor/Wall cutting the special electric hand
tool shall be used.

Accidents at site
Every site of work I covered under third Party Insurance Policy beside
E.S.I covers for our workers. Any injury caused to the suitable action
taken as covered by the Policy.

First Aid
Sufficient numbers of First Aid Boxes are located at work place and are
easily accessible to the workers. In the event of any Injury/Accident the
same shall be made use giving first aid and immediately followed with
regular medical attendance. Subsequently the matter should be reported to
the Project Engineer/Head office. All the workmen are covered under E.S.I
Facilitates.

Personnel protective
The following personnel protective equipment are provided to each and
every workman & shall be make use of.

9. Hard hat.
10. Safety shoes-Regular for normal work and Rubber soled
shoes for working in the vicinity of live line.
11. Work Clothes-Apart from the above the following items are
available in the stores and shall be borrowed and used by worker as
and when required.

a. Safety belt.
b. Hand gloves.
c. Eye protection goggles and welding shields.
d. Respiratory filters.
e. Steel capped safety boots.

Barricades
All vulnerable area shall be barricaded by Temporary
railings/ropes/chains and provided with lights during night and flagged
during day. Suitable precaution shall be taken for “Fall Projection”.

Communication
For distant communication, suitable cordless phone/bells supplied by
the firm shall be employed to give proper signal.

Fire protection
Different class and type of Fire Extinguishers are provided at
appropriate location and the workers are trained in its proper use.

Permits
No work shall be carried out on Energized system unless and until
proper line clear is obtained in writing with strict supervision until the
work is completed.

Temporary Lights
Temporary light shall be provided at work site for carrying out works
during Nights Cloudy weather.

Floor and Roof

The floor and roof opening made for carrying our shall be properly
displayed by bold visible signs and barricaded to prevent any accidents.

Machine Guarding
All moving parts of construction equipment shall be provided with guard.

Temporary Electric Power

All temporary power cables shall be supported on proper poles and
bound, clear of movement of men and vehicles. All circuits shall be
provided with earth leakage circuit breakers (ELCB) and Earthing.

Toilet facilities
The workers shall use only the temporary toilets provided at Site o ffice.

Smoking prohibited
The workers shall desist from smoking in the work place.
