New: Publish or Perish 5 released, 10 years a├er the original Publish or Perish!
The Windows version of Publish or Perish is available for downloading by following the instrucĕons below. The
download package contains an installer for Microso├ Windows and is digitally signed by Tarma So├ware Research Ltd.
Note: The Publish or Perish so├ware installer does NOT require administrator rights. You can install the Publish or Perish
so├ware on your computer even as a non‐privileged user.

Publish or Perish is provided courtesy of Harzing.com. It is free for personal non‐profit use; please refer to the End User
License Agreement for the full licensing terms and condiĕons.

Support Publish or Perish

The development of the Publish or Perish so├ware is a volunteering effort that has been ongoing since 2006. Download
and use of Publish or Perish is and will remain free (graĕs), but your support toward the costs of hosĕng, bandwidth,
and so├ware development are appreciated. Your support helps further development of Publish or Perish for new data
sources and addiĕonal features.

Download and installation instructions

1. Check that your computer meets the following minimum system requirements:
Windows XP, 2003, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10, including x64 and Server ediĕons.

Some memory (enough to run the operaĕng system, not much more).
Some hard disk space (diĥo).
An Internet connecĕon.

2. Download the Publish or Perish so├ware installer from the Harzing.com web site:
 Publish or Perish installer for Windows (832 KB)
Version: 5.29.5793 (18 July 2017)

3. Start the PoP5Setup.exe installer by double‐clicking on the file that you just downloaded. On most systems, a security
warning dialog box will now appear that looks like one of the following.
Windows 10

Click Run or Conĕnue or Yes aⳃ�er you have verified that the publisher's name is Tarma So├ware Research Ltd.

(Note: Before 15 August 2014 our installers were signed by Tarma So├ware Research Pty Ltd; these are also fine.)
4. The installer will now start. Follow the instrucĕons on the screen to confirm your acceptance of the license agreement
and to install the Publish or Perish so├ware on your computer.
Note: If you have an earlier version of Publish or Perish on your computer, it will be automaĕcally removed before the
new version is installed. Your queries are preserved during the upgrade process.

5. A├er installaĕon is complete, you can start Publish or Perish through the Windows Start menu: click on the Start
menu buĥon, then All Programs, then Publish or Perish 5.
6. If you ever need to remove the Publish or Perish so├ware from your system, use the Add/Remove Programs control
panel.
