Activity Description of Activities and Setting Time


-Gather students on the carpet. 5min
-Tell students they will be learning how to summarize an informational text
using an Anchor Chart treasure map summary organizer.
1. Focus and Review
- “what is a summary?”
-A summary included the major points of a story or passage.
-We will read the Anchor Chart.
Today will be using the Treasure Map Summary Organizer to support us in 2 min
