Dear Brandon Roper:

I am sending you this letter, to show my interest in the Behavioral Health Specialist Position you have
posted on the company’s network. I have been waiting for a few years for a position like this one to
open, and I believe that the time I have spent waiting has only made me more qualified for
consideration.

I have worked with Intermountain Healthcare for nearly five years, and all that time has been near
you and your department. This amount of time has given me a great understanding our patients, and
the treatment that they receive when admitted to your unit. Behavioral Health is something that
greatly interests me and working with kids has proven to be one of my favorite things with working
here. I have just received my degree in Pre-Health Science, and part of that curriculum has been
multiple psychology and sociology classes that I believe have given me a greater understanding of
what this position takes.

I would greatly appreciate your consideration for an interview for this open position. I believe that
you have seen me work under severely stressful situations and know that I can work well under
pressure. You have seen me interact with the patients and have hopefully seen how much I care for
them and their Health.
