INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

OVERVIEW

Christian Life is a relevant, cutting edge church in Rantoul, IL with a passion and a heart to see others know
Christ personally. We are providing internship opportunities where you will receive personal development, as
well as witnessing and impacting lives being transformed through the power of faith and the Gospel.

The Christian Life Church Internship Program is designed to give participants ministry experience, as well as a
glimpse into the life of someone in ministry. Participants will gain valuable experience while working alongside
Christian Life staff members. Internship positions are available during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

THE STORY
John and Barbara Bonacorsi experienced the reality of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit in the late
1970’s. In their burning desires to share this reality with their friends, a Bible study was begun in their home
with 3 other couples. During the next few years, a class called “Understanding God” was taught in an available
room in Country Tyme Lanes, a bowling alley, and was known as Christian Learning Center. In January of
1984, this group began to formally conduct Sunday morning and night services. The name “Christian Life” was
chosen because of it best described the goal of our Christianity.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Qualifications:

 18 to 25 years old
 Exemplifies and lives a life in Christ
 Fully supports the vision of Christian Life

All interested participants will be required to submit the Internship Program application along with a resume
and cover letter.

A select group of applicants will be chosen for the interview process. After the interview process, applicants will
be notified if they have been chosen for the Internship Program.

SCHEDULE

During the fall, spring, and summer semesters, intern positions will require a time commitment of 4 hours per
week plus serving on the weekend. All interns will have a role that requires them to serve at our weekend
worship experience on Sunday.

Fall 2010 – Begins August 23, 2010 and ends December 5, 2010. Application deadline for the fall 2010
semester is August 16, 2010. Interviews will begin July 12th and applicants will be notified as soon as possible.
The fall program is 15 weeks.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Spring 2011 – Begins January 17, 2011 and ends May 1, 2011. Application deadline for the spring 2011
semester is November 1, 2010. Applicants will be interviewed and notified by November 22, 2010. The spring
program is 15 weeks.

Summer 2011 – Begins May 16, 2011 and ends August 7, 2011. Application deadline for the summer 2011
semester is March 14, 2011. Applicants will be interviewed and notified by April 18, 2011. The summer
program is 12 weeks.

Fall 2011 – Begins August 29, 2011 and ends December 11, 2011. Application deadline for the fall 2011
semester is June 27, 2011. Applicants will be interviewed and notified by July 18, 2011. The fall program is 15
weeks.

WEEKLY ROUTINE & DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The weekly routine will vary depending on the intern’s ministry area and the needs of the specific intern
position. The Development Plan will include personal teaching from your supervisor, 6 work objectives and 2
personal development assignments, spiritual fasting, physical fitness, community outreach and excelling in a
dynamic culture.

Is the internship paid?


No, but you will have the opportunity to receive relevant experience and to have more references for
your current and future resume

How can I get college credit?


If your college or university offers internship opportunities, we will work directly with your counselors
and/or professors to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements.
