Summary:
An internationally experienced senior engineer, with more than fifteen years of
experience and a strong background in high & low voltage switchgear and distribution
systems, generation plant/rotating machines, power electronics, renewables, energy
storage systems and automation/control systems. Qualifications include an
accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering, HV switching and safety
awareness courses (33kV), automation operation & maintenance courses, and
Norwegian sector offshore survival certification. I have a clean driving licence and
previously held UK MOD security clearance. I am a member of the IET and working
towards becoming chartered.

Work History:
2013-Present Senior Electrical Engineer Subsea 7 (Glasgow)
I am the first point of contact for all matters related to power, propulsion,
automation, communication and control systems as part of an embedded
engineering and asset fleet management team, my primary responsibilities are:
Act as technical authority in connection with all breakdowns, upgrades and
maintenance related to all power, propulsion and control systems within a fleet
of thirty construction ships, ROV, saturation dive and pipelay systems.
Act as manager during vessel and pipelay equipment new build, upgrade and
maintenance scopes of work.
Commission and maintain power, propulsion and control systems.
Develop sophisticated control systems and architecture.
Preparation of asset designs, specifications and budgets.
Continuously improve asset safety and reliability.
Maintain files and records of all technical documents.
Monitor and adapt to changes in rules and regulations.
Develop and maintain relationship with all technical personnel within the group
and with manufacturer/suppliers of critical equipment.
Management and control of all asset modifications and upgrade works.
Directly support projects/clients with interface between asset systems and
project/client systems.
2012-2013 Senior Engineer, Global Maritime (London & Singapore)
Responsible for preparing and conducting in depth analysis and design of power
systems, propulsion, control and auxiliary systems. Carrying out audits and surveys
for regulatory bodies/ third party clients. Involved in accident investigations and legal
proceedings relating to accidents involving electrical and control systems. Production
of FMEA and FMECA documentation for a variety of systems, including ships control
and power systems, pipelay systems, drilling systems, pipe handling systems,
saturation dive systems, ballast systems, HVAC systems, fire and gas systems and
ESD systems.
