Use of Strategic Human Resource Management

Strategic Human Resource Management:

Human Resource Management department of ACI do not work as corporate executives. It works as a
team. The team which supervise all the areas of the company to make sure the efficiency and equality in
each and every department.

HR department emphasize on the decision-making process especially for the long-term benefit and for
that it takes the long-term strategies. Decisions are taken in a meeting comprising the board of
directors. The ultimate job of this department is the maintain the work force efficiency for the
betterment of the company and for that the department goes through an internal and external scanning
to find the highest potential at the very beginning.

According to Mohammad Yasin Shohag, HR Executive, “There are lots of candidates available in the
market however, only few good candidates available who can take this company to greater heights.”

To remain advanced in the market ACI’s HR follows 15 blocks of HR policy.Among the 15 blocks they
focus on

 Scanning External Environment,
 Aligning and Organizing.

Recruitment and selection

- It is completely based on the “Balanced Score Card”. It works from the recruitment process to
the selection process. Even after that it works as a performance appraisal for an individual in all
29 different businesses.
- By providing the best working condition they try to attract the best candidate from the
competitive market.

Scanning External Environment

- Here they go through the market conditions of their competitors and compare their own
position in the market. This scanning works to keep up the competition and sometimes to beat
the competitors.

Aligning and Organizing


- The HR makes sure the highest benefit of every employee. By providing car loan, gratuity,
provident fund and hospitalization. Along with the performance bonus, leave fare
assistance,festival bonus and workers profit participation fund during times with in a year.
- The Balanced Score Card and KPI works here within 15 blocks.
