compact, cost-effective solution for highly accurate
water content determinations in products which contain
small amounts of water.

offers more convenience, as it requires less maintenance and
no catholyte.

he MKC-501N coulometric Karl Fischer Titrator is equipped
with a generator cell without diaphragm. This type of
generator cell requires only one Karl Fischer reagent and

offers thus two substantial advantages compared to

conventional generator cells:
less reagent consumption.

less contamination - easier cleaning.
This diaphragmless generator electrode is suitable for a large

number of applications. For some special applications like
water determinations in aldehydes and ketones, extremely
low water contents or samples with a very low conductivity (/files/2813/9532/4045/mkc-
(like e.g. oils) a generator electrode with diaphragm is 510_titration_cell.png)
required. For this reason, the MKC-501 Karl Fischer Titrator
is available in two different versions, one with a generator
electrode with (MKC-501D) and one without diaphragm
(MKC-501N). Both models can be used with either type of
generator electrode. It is thus possible to equip your MKC-
501N titrator with a conventional generator electrode with
diaphragm in case there is a need for it in the future.
Smooth data transfer

The MKC-501N is equipped with the three interfaces
required for a seemless integration into the usual workflows
in routine quality control:
Printer – to print out results (containing all the relevant data

like date, time, sample name and size, operator name,
etc.), statistics and lists of system performance checks.
Balance – to directly transmit sample weights from an
analytical balance from various manufacturers (Mettler

the Soft CAP Data Capture software the results can

The Data Capture Software is an easy to use and flexible
solution to collect measurement results from different KEM
instruments (Refractometers, Density Meters, Potentiometric
or Karl-Fischer Titrators, Thermal Conductivity Meters) on a
Windows personal computer.

instruments can be of the same model.
The results can directly be stored in EXCEL workbooks.
The measured results are always available at a glance in a
clear and concise manner.
As soon as a measurement has finished, the result
appears in the corresponding worksheet.
The layout, order and the format how the results are
stored in EXCEL can freely be adapted to specific
needs.
Results can be automatically be processed by EXCEL
macros as they are transmitted to the PC. Additional
data (comments, sample data, etc.) can be entered at
any time by means of the PC keyboard or a barcode
reader.
All results can at the same time be stored in as CSV files.

The ADP-511 substantially broadens the application
spectrum of your Karl Fischer Titrator. With this evaporator
accurate water determinations of samples which cannot be
titrated directly can be performed:

The ADP-511 features a modern microprocessor control

ensuring maximum precision, reliability and user-friendliness:
Rapid rise and accurate control of the heating

temperature.
Digital display of temperature and flow rate.
Serial interface which enables the evaporator to be remote
controlled by the titrator when being used with an MKA-
520, MKS-520, MKC-520D or MKC-520N titrator.
To safely avoid contamination from atmospheric moisture the

ADP-511 is equipped with a remote controlled motor driven
magnetic bar to move the sample from the sample chamber
into the oven.
The heating chamber is equipped with an electrically

conductive transparent heater glass. This permits the sample
condition to be monitored during the vaporization process.
The ADP-511 comes with two built-in desiccant tubes for the
carrier gas. With an optional air pump, air instead of nitrogen
can be used as carrier gas.

avoided. This manually operated filling an emptying system
for the titration cell (ordering number 98-433-0134) protects
operators from direct contact with toxic reagents and vapors.
This solvent pump is included in the standard delivery of the

following Karl Fischer Titrators: MKS-520, MKA-520, MKC-
