Important Instructions
1. We recommend that you check your status 4 hours before trains departure. Send SMS to 139 to know the PNR
status. Example: PNR 8231234567. For Railway enquiries, call 139 or SMS RAIL to 139.

2. One of the passengers is required to present any of the ID cards noted below in original during the train journey
failing which all the passengers will be treated as traveling without ticket and shall be dealt as per extant Railway
Rules. Valid ID proofs:- Passport/ Driving License/ PAN Card/ Voters ID card/ Photo ID card issued by Central or
State govt. for their employees/ Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School or College for
their students/ Nationalised Bank Passbook with photograph.
3. The accommodation booked is not transferable and is valid only if one of the valid ID proofs noted above is
presented during the journey. The passenger should carry with him the e-ticket print out. In case the passenger
does not carry the e-ticket, a charge of Rs. 50/- per ticket shall be recovered by the ticket checking staff and an
excess fare ticket will be issued in lieu of it.
4. The e-tickets can be cancelled by logging into your Cleartrip user account before the chart preparation. The chart
preparation is normally done 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from originating station. For train
starting up to 12 noon the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night.
5. E-ticket cannot be cancelled after chart preparation. If train is cancelled, e-ticket can be cancelled on request upto 3
days from the date of departure of the train. Mail to traincs@cleartrip.com to process the refund with the Railways in
these cases.
6. The compartment/cabin/coupe numbers for First AC (1A) and First Class (FC) will be allotted at the time of chart
preparation.
