It is my pleasure to be writing a letter of recommendation for Sandra Higareda. I am a Police

Officer with the Merced Police Department where I have been for approximately 14 years. I currently
hold the position of School Resource Officer at Golden Valley High School where I have been now for
four years and an Advisor for the Merced Police Explorer Post 204 program.

I have had the pleasure working with Higareda within the Merced Police Explorers Post 204 from
approximately 2015-2018. Within that time, Higareda has progressed through the ranks in the Explorer
Post and given additional responsibilities. Currently, Higareda is holding the rank of Sargent, which she
is successfully performing all of her duties.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Higareda, and have come to know her as a
valuable asset to our team. She is honest, dependable, and hard-working. Since she has joined the
Explorers, Higareda has participated in approximately 290 volunteer hours. Higareda also participates in
additional activities at Merced High School while still maintaining a 3.33 GPA.

Along with her undeniable talent, Higareda has been a joy to work with. She is a true team
player, and always manages to foster positive discussions and brings the best out of other people. She is
always there willing to participate and help where ever needed.
