Cloud computing is a model that provides on-demand access to the network, available and suitable
to a pool of configurable computing resources (for example: networking, storage, servers, services,
applications), which can be provided quickly and embark on an effort to minimum management or
interaction with the service provider. The cloud model, consists of five features, three service
models and four deployment models, all essential, according to the NITS.
2. Multiple forms of network-wide access: Resources are accessible through the network and
through standard mechanisms that are used by a wide variety of user devices. This feature is
also known as ubiquitous network access.
3. Sharing resources: The supplier computing resources are grouped together and share to
serve multiple consumers (storage, memory, bandwidth), and are shared by multiple users.
4. Rapid elasticity: This property allows the enlargement or extension, in quantity and quality,
of the services as they are needed by the client, with the guarantee of supplier for the
extension of a quick mode.
5. Measured service: Provider is able to measure, at a certain level, the service actually
delivered to each user, so both provider and user have transparent access to the real
consumption of resources, allowing the payment by the effective use of the services.

Self-service on-demand
Virtualization Service-oriented
Lower costs: considerable cost reductions occur when compared to the high degrees of
effectiveness and good utilization that cloud models and tools produce
Ease of use: No software hardware licenses are required to implement the service
Quality of service: The quality of service is obtained through a contract with your provider
Simplification of the update and maintenance: Since the system is centralized and you can
easily apply patches and software updates
Easy to overcome barriers: It is ideal for young entrepreneurs and start-up companies, in
addition to large companies, for the ease of use for their technological adaptation
