J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 3 balls of White, Ecru, or any color.
Clark's O.N.T. Lustersheen, 2 skeins of White or Ecru, or 3 skeins of any color.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 8 or 9.

Gauge: 4 sps make 1 inch; 4 rows make 1 inch.

Completed runner measures 14 x 36 inches.

Starting at one narrow end, making a chain 20 inches long (12 ch sts to 1 inch). 1st row: D c
in 8th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch. Repeat from * across until 57 sps in all
are made. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: D c in next d c (1 sp), 2 d c in next
sp, d c in next d c (1 bl). Ch 2, d c in next d c (another sp). Make (1 bl, 1 sp) 5 times; make 10
more sps over sps below; (1 bl, 1 sp) 6 times; make 10 more sps; (1 bl, 1 sp) 6 times. Ch 5,
