Design II
Spring 2017

The Subterranean
project consisted of
designing and shaping
a series of
interconnected
volumes to
accommodate a
simple program with
particular attention paid
to light and shadows
by building upon earlier
studies of light and
human-centered
design. Working with
my partner we
designed multiple
iteration of subterranean
interiors. Using
repetition and variety,
we created a space
that represented a type
of labyrinth-like design.

Design II
Spring 2017

Through the
manipulation of paper,
the Folded Shelter
Project introduced me
to fundamental
concepts of site,
context and program as
understood within the
discipline of
architecture. This
project helped me build
a basic understanding
of the conceptual Final Independent Models
design process with the
use of digital
photography, drawing,
and model making.

Analytical
Modeling
Fall 2017
The task of this
project was to create a
physical replica model
of the Paraninfo de la
Universidad in Bilbao,
Spain. It was to
represent approximately
half the building as a
cut away section model
to explore the interiors.
This work required a
thorough
understanding of the
building,
exploratory studies
before and during
construction of the final
physical models and
deliberate abstraction of
the work under study.
The model was made
at 1/8th scale.

Drawing I
Fall 2016

Architectural Drawing
course consisted of
multiple projects testing
the drawing process
with consistent
iterations to convey
an idea or argument.
Through these
iterations, the argument
was to be developed
and support the final
drawings of the set.
These are a couple of
the final drawings.
