REASON SONG ASSIGNMENT ---

Requirements:

INTSTRUMENTS

Utilize a variety of instruments in your rack.

You can make your drum part with either Redrum or use an NNXT with
a drum kit in it.

You may make your bass part with any instrument and a Matrix
Pattern sequencer.

DO NOT use only Dr Rex…. Dr Rex is used to enhance what you are working
on. It works well for rhythm guitar parts… you may need to use several to
cover different chords… That means you will have to know how to insert Dr
Rex to specific locations in your sequencer.

SONG STRUCTURE or FORM

Your song should consist of the appropriate form for the style it is in.

Ie. intro verse chorus verse chorus outro.. ( intro ABAB)

Ie. Intro verse verse chorus bridge (break down)

TOTAL LENGTH OF SONG IS A MINIMUM OF 2 minutes 30 seconds.

Primary grading of song will be on effort and demonstration of ability

to manipulate Reason and cohesiveness within your form:

Use of editing in the sequencer track

Penciling in melody in keyboard lane
Automation of Redrum patterns and Matrix Patterns
