Abstract

In this paper we shall discuss about the business profile of a company that manufactures

electro mechanical products. In this paper we shall also discuss about the types of operation of

the company and talks about the business strategy as a whole. Similarly, we shall also discuss

about the supply chain management and the process design of the company which relates to the

business strategy of the company. Furthermore there is a discussion about the problem that can

arise in the supply chain management of the company from the multinational perspective and

thus this paper also provides solution to those arisen problems.

Business Profile

Business profile is a type of introduction of a business which helps in summarizing the

important characteristics and value of the business and helps in identifying the areas that needs to

be improved. It is a professional introduction of a business which aims to provide the

information to consumers regarding the product, services and status of the company (Sukhraj, R.

2017). Business profile is also known as company profile. It acts as a resume for a company and

its business. The details and the characteristics of the company are listed in the business profile

of the company which helps a company to highlight on the strength of the company and works

toward the weakness of the company. Business profile carries the value and the purpose of the

business.

Some of the points that a manufacturer company must include in their business profile are as

follows:-

Put basic Information:

In the profile the company must include their basic information like name, address,

contact detail, location of the company. This will help the consumer to know about the

business of the company and know about the current situation of the company.

Talking about company’s Ideas:

Company should also need to address about the mission and vision of the company

and their purpose of the business. They should also include about the history of the company

and guidelines of the company. When the company is able to communicate their mission and

vision to the people it will drive the company in a right direction.

Finding out more specific detail:

Company needs to follow up with their several departments to know about the

updates and up to date details of the company. By doing so they can know about the areas

that needs to be improved and solve problems. Having information about all of the

departments will make easier for the company to make strategic decisions.

Sift Through this Information: -

Company should be able to include all the possible details of their business in their

profile and make it short and relevant. Company should know what to include in their

company profile.

Types of operations

Purchasing Operation: -

While manufacturing a product raw material is very important to produce the final

product. For continuations of the product raw material is very important. It is very important

for a company to select the best supplier who can be able to supply them with the good

materials in right time and right amount. Suppliers should be able to provide high quality

materials to the company.

Production Operation: -

The production operation of a company is based on three procedures, input, processing

and output. For the production of final product firstly, raw materials are uses as an input and

after the machine processes the raw materials the output is given as a final product(Sanders, N.

2014). In the production operation the compnay makes the decisions regarding the produt

production. The whole activity of the product production is based uopn raw materials,

manpower, labour, money, infrastructures etc.Production opeartion includes implimenting the

business qrganization and concepts for creating the final goods and services. The manager of this

department is responsible for making sure of the quality products in right amount at reasonable

cost. The main aim of the production operation is to add value to the goods and services by

building a long lasting customer relationships.

Marketing Operation: -

This section is mainly based upon product, price, place and promotions. Marketing

operation is very essential because it deals with all the essential factors of marketing. The main

aim of marketing operation is to increase marketing efficiency which helps in improving the

market share and customer value.

Logistic Operation: -

The main part in this section is effectiveness of the company. The process of delivering

the final product in the market is based on this section. It is very important for a business to

choose the right way of distribution channel so that they can deliver the final goods and services

at the right time to the targeted customers. In general terms it is the management of the flow of

things between the origin point and the final point of the consumption so that they can meet the

requirements of the customers (Mallik, Susan 2010).

Human resource operations:-

Human resource is the departments of the company that deals with the employee and

their related issues. Human resource operations refers to the services provided to business

operations by human resource department. It includes recruitment, job analysis, employee

relationship management etc. These aspects are practiced to uplift and support the business

management and their employees in day to day activities so that company can meet its business

goals.

Accounting and Finance Operations: -

This section is related to the capital of the business. Capital is very important in

manufacturing the product as all the activities of production phase is related to it. With the help

of accounting and finance Operation Company can be able to manage their finance while

manufacturing the products.

Besides all these functions of operation, information systems plays an important role. The

growth and the loss of the company depends on the decision making capacity of the business.

Information system helps in making the right decisions in the operation of the company. The

strategic operation decisions of the business is based upon the information system. The above

operations if applied in right way helps the company to get success. If the company wants to

increase their productivity than there must be an interconnection between all these operation

functions in the company.

Conclusion

Business profile of the company gives the brief introduction regarding what the company

is about. To achieve the growth and potential customers in the market a company must build

their profile in a proper manner. There are various business operations which helps in

manufacturing the product. If these operation functions are interconnected than a company can

achieve success. If the supply chain of the business is managed properly than the business can

gain competitive advantage over their competitors by improving the performance level of the

company. Similar ally purchasing and production operations are the two elements which are

related to multinational operations.
