Big Ideas/Unit Goals:

Passing and receiving drill & 4v4 tournament

The overall unit goal is to successfully get all students to be able to not only explain what the game of soccer is, but know how to
participate in drills and in live game-play situation

Unit Summary:
Teach students a small history of the game of soccer, then quickly move into simple soccer drill activities. First activities are introduction
games that are mostly used for an entry level assessment to get a better idea of where everyone stands with soccer. Soon after, the
students will be responsible for learning drills and skills on their own to bring back to their teammate to practice, while also working on
personal goals as well whether that be in skills or in knowledge of the game. By the end of the lesson all students should be able to
comfortably play and understand just about everything there is for a beginner in soccer.
